My craft for the weekend (it has been a long time since I made anything actually), a button wreath. I saw this idea on Country Style, and finally found enough white buttons to make it happen. Not too shabby (chic!) for 3 dollars, eh?

Jack continues on the path to being a big boy. He has mastered the fine art of opening the lid, digging in the basket, and removing every single toy at once! Sometimes he hardly seems like a baby at all anymore.

Jack enjoys his last bit of spinach from a baby food jar before the great spit-a-thon began. He hasn't eaten anything but finger food since. How can a kid who loves food THIS much want to suddenly spit it all out? Baffling, really.

Jack carries on a lengthy conversation with a cat toy mouse. The cats are lying in wait, wondering if he is ever going to drop that thing.

wooohooo! After 5 long months, I have FINALLY taught Jack how to use the sippy cup. He won't have to take a bottle to college afterall!

LOL, Is that Jack sleeping while sitting up?? The red mark is from falling down from exhaustion. He has now become nearly inseperable from the blanket in the background when he is tired. This, of course, increases the difficulty of crawling!

Jack thinks he is being sneaky stealing some of Liam's first birthday cupcake. Most of it ended up on Grandpa!

Jack is finally standing up on his own. He had been working on it all day, and at about 4 30, he was finally up. I expect we may never sleep again, however, I am grateful that I was able to grab the last second of this milestone on film!

Jack hangs out in the red bud tree in our yard while we are having our big annual yard sale. The mosquitos were so bad that he had to wear his pj's and hang out in the play pen under a mosquito net. Good thing I didn't sell that mosquito net in the yard sale like I had planned!

Or, more accurately perhaps, a teething Jack eats blocks. (And spoons, and cat fur, and cat toys, and if he is close enough, my arms and legs.) I am not sure if he is trying to bite me, because he isn't successful and I suspect with his attitude I would know it! if he wanted to bite me, or, if he really is just chewing on *everything* within a mile of his mouth.

I was in the kitchen getting lunch ready when I caught this game out of the corner of my eye. Jack, in full-on crawl (finally!) was playing ball with *himself!* He is quite good at playing by himself actually, which is the one thing I had really hoped for during all those months of neediness. Yea! for Jack and independence!
