Come back soon
Yesterday was perfection. A mini Florida vacation in our own yard. We went to the flea market bright and early, and spent the entire day outdoors. More than 10 hours outside. I soaked up every ounce of sun and recharged my batteries. I fixed up my flea market finds (I will show them this week, so I can stretch out that glorious day a bit longer). I read my book .
The sky was blue. The sun was hot. It was 80 degrees. I wore my shorts. I got a little sunburn. You could literally sit in the yard and watch the bright green new grass shoot up out of the dark brown muddy earth.
We played games (Jack was playing a bit shy in the base of the tree) and yet we did nothing.
We grilled hot dogs. We ate outside with the sun shining down on us. By 7 pm we were all ready to fall asleep from so much fresh air.Today the freezing rain and snow are coming.
Come back soon spring. We love you. We will miss you terribly.

I agree. It was a fabulous weekend outdoors! Now I have to go clean lots of mud off of crocks and sneakers. LOL!
Cheers! LA
Sounds like a great day. I read that book; it was good. The snow and freezing rain are in Chicago right now. Ugh. Mark is trying to fly back from Arkansas this morning and everything is delayed.
I hope spring comes back soon, too.
I love weekends like that! We grilled out Saturday night, chicken fajitas. Had leftovers last night but it wasn't the same as fresh off the grill.
It was 73 when I woke up at 5:45(don't ask) but by 9:30 I could see my breath. My daffodils bloomed last night but got beaten by the heavy rains, hopefully they'll spring back up, they didn't break.
I'm staying out of the flea market/yard sales until my own "junk" is dealt with. I've got a huge pile, we'll have to take the extra seat out of the Suburban to haul it all away. Maybe by next weekend things will be as they should be.
Sorry yall are getting freezing crud, that's not fun.
Molly
Sounds like you had a glorious day! Thanks for sending some of it our way (supposed to be 70's today before dipping into colder weather) How are you enjoying your book? Looks like something I would like to sink my teeth into!
oh, it sounds like a wonderful weekend!!!
Ohh what a wonderful post, and cute pictures Sarah! While reading this, I was looking out the window thinking, funny, its Spring in the air even here! But to my dismay the sky was suddenly filled with snow?!! Grhmph!! I think the seasons are teasing us this year!
What a wonderful day! : D
it is raining cats and dogs here. and rumor is Cold is coming back...so sad, the sun was so lovely while it lasted...
How fun! Way to celebrate what you've got.
Isn't it awful how mother nature teases us in the spring? Glad you got a few warm days in there!
Oh yes spring come back very very soon! I am tired of snow, ice, and cold! This feels like the longest winter ever, as far as history it is the snowiest here in Madison, WI
It's been pretty summer-like here in southern California, as well! It seems like you took advantage of the wonderful weather!
Great pic's!! Sounds like you had a fabulous time enjoying the oudoors...
Jodie
sounds PERFECT!
i NEED that kind of day - SOON!
wasn't the weather this weekend absolutely wonderful? Oh how I miss it now that we're under "blowing snow" advisory. Thank you for sharing your day's experiences with us. Such beautiful images :)
Also wanted to let you know that I'm having a grand contest over at my blog, so if you get a chance, stop on by! :)
Oh wow, sounds like fun. We got out yesterday to a civil war reenactment. Yeah, in California. But it was pretty cool. The best part seems to have been the duck pond, according to the toddler. She could have spent hours staring at the ducks, the geese, and the massively huge koi.
we too got a glimpse of spring this weekend. Glad you enjoyed yours!
Oh, hot dogs grilled outdoors sounds so good!
we just need it to come - haven't even come close to it yet! Glad you got to enjoy some lovely weather!
Sounds like you had one of those amazing days that are just perfect all day!!! What fun!!
Keep us posted about the book, I'd love to know if it is great!
lovely to hear about how you spent our beautiful Sunday: what's up with the ice here is St. L this morning? Can't wait to see your flea market finds! ERB
OH what a glorious day you had! Up here we call them 'a gift from God'. No questions asked; just take it when you can get it. :-) Love your new flea market tote! Great job.

Sounds like fun in the sun.
Alison
Sounds like a great day! That book sounds really good, I'm adding it to my books-to-read-in-the-future list. I'd love to hear your review on it when you're finished... :)
