Plop, plop, fizz, fizz

Oh what a relief it is.

One more x-ray (and one x-ray tech who very clearly remembered Jack), and we are quite clearly battery free.

I will be back in a day or two. In the midst of all of this we discovered my mini van was truly dead, and after the emergency with Jack and not having a car to take him to the doctor, the pressure was on to find a different car and sort all of that out too.

I am beyond exhausted...

  1. Oh my...hugs to you. I cannot even imagine one of my children swallowing a battery and how I would handle it. A battery! I am going now to make sure there are none to swallow. Goodness knows the little one likes to play with the remote.

  6. Happy to hear the news! That along with your car "pooping out" has really been too much! I was crafting once while watching a friends toddler...a few days later she called and told me she found sequins in his diaper! LOL!

  9. I have been looking for a new post, and I realized why I never got the update on my Bloglines. My husband just told my mother in law, "That kid passed the batteries." He's been fixated on it ever since I told him on Monday, and he read the post and marked it read!!! It really bothered him. So glad everything is A-OK. PHEW. Try to relax a bit. Oy.

  11. Oh, I'm just coming in at the end here but I am so relieved to hear that there was a happy ending.
We only had a pearl up a nose, a toothpick broken off in a big toe, a tick on the neck and stitches to the forehead. The things kids do for attention!!
    Hugs.

  18. So glad to hear that the battery is gone! And so sorry to hear about your car - when it rains, it pours, eh? Good luck finding a new set of wheels and after you do, I think you should just sit on the couch for a few days - just a suggestion...

  20. Oh Sarah, I'm relieved FOR you! Thank goodness that mess is over.

And now, best wishes on the new mess of getting a new car! I truly HATE looking at cars, dealing with salesmen, and all that garbage. I'd rather have my toenails pulled out. Here's hoping it's much less painful for you!

  24. Oh my gosh Sarah!! What a drama you've been having here for the past days! I'm thrilled to hear that you are battery free! And actually I'm in a shock because I started thinking of all those battery toys kids have today....and we worry about small pieces, or toxic plastic ...but admittedly I've never tought of those batteries! Gosh I'm off to call my friends with a small warning now!

  27. Hang in there! I'm a mom of 4 and we made it safely to the other side of frantic ER visits and desperate searches for things non-edible. Now we just scramble around like crazy trying to find their cell phones. :)
Have a wonderful week end. I'm glad everything turned out okay.
