Love notes

I woke up to find this note on the counter this morning:

"Good morning love! At first I felt silly only having $13 to leave for you. But then I realized you'll be able to go crazy on $13. I love that about you..."

And it was Jack's first day back at school in more than 2 1/2 weeks. Wooohooo!

So, what did $13 buy me?A gaggle of embroidery hoops;
more sparkly Japanese Christmas decorations;
a vintage quilt top...
complete with loads of fabulous feedsack prints...
and more (I will put a few more close ups on Flickr after I collect Jack from school);
a super fun feedsack;
AND a tablecloth!

All of the things I love, plus I still have a tiny bit of money left in my pocket.

Ain't love grand?

  1. Good use of the $13! I, on the other hand bought a duvet and cover on sale over the internet. Though on sale, still over $13. :-( Well, my son's room is so cold at night and I just HAD to get it for him.

    That sounds like something my husband would do too. He knows that I can take $10 and bring home a boatload. It makes you feel good to find stuff that's great for so cheap. So happy for you!

  15. I want to shop at YOUR thrift stores! Nothing like that around here! Yard sales are great up here, so the moe than make up for the thrift shops.

    I changed email addys, so here's my new one: cattyjenny (at) aol (dot) com

    They do call them TTD (teletype for the deaf) but they don't get used much anymore-- computers and pagers have pretty much taken over now, along with videophone and instant messaging. It's been at least 6 years since the last time I used my ttd! Send me an email and we can talk more.
