Love notes
I woke up to find this note on the counter this morning:
"Good morning love! At first I felt silly only having $13 to leave for you. But then I realized you'll be able to go crazy on $13. I love that about you..."
And it was Jack's first day back at school in more than 2 1/2 weeks. Wooohooo!
So, what did $13 buy me?
All of the things I love, plus I still have a tiny bit of money left in my pocket.
Ain't love grand?

Good use of the $13! I, on the other hand bought a duvet and cover on sale over the internet. Though on sale, still over $13. :-( Well, my son's room is so cold at night and I just HAD to get it for him.
WHERE in the heck do you shop for such FREAKIN' FABULOUS FINDS????
Go you!! lol :o)
I DEFINITELY want to go thrift shopping with you!!! What great finds. I'm in love with that quilt top. Enjoy.
Wow - you were a lucky gal! Some days are not so great, but then other days you hit the jackpot, eh?
That sounds like something my husband would do too. He knows that I can take $10 and bring home a boatload. It makes you feel good to find stuff that's great for so cheap. So happy for you!
That is the sweetest love note ever. He's a keeper!!
I (heart) your hubby!
I have one of those golf ball textured vases in my DONATE pile. It isn't vintage, is it???? Heaven forbid I donate something vintage.....
How awesome is that and money left over. You got some great finds there. I love the quilt top...I'm always afraid to buy as I'm not sure what I'm getting or if I would be paying too much. I need to take you along with me sometime :)
Way to go on your finds! You have a very sweet husband. Yay for school starting back up.
I want to go shopping with YOU!!! I have absolutely nothing that cool where I am at!
I think my husband and your husband are brothers! He always does stuff like that. Every morning I get up and my coffee is ready in a mug with a lid on it and he's long gone.....thats LOVE!
Great deals you got today! My fav is the tablecloth!
You hit the jackpot, in more ways than one.
your finds never cease to amaze me! we are finally back in town and it is nice to "catch up" with you by reading your posts. $13... i spent a lot more today on one lousy printer ink. sigh.
alright, that was the sweetest thing ever. did you collapse in a sobbing heap or run out the door jumping and shouting with glee?
:)
I want to shop at YOUR thrift stores! Nothing like that around here! Yard sales are great up here, so the moe than make up for the thrift shops.
I changed email addys, so here's my new one: cattyjenny (at) aol (dot) com
They do call them TTD (teletype for the deaf) but they don't get used much anymore-- computers and pagers have pretty much taken over now, along with videophone and instant messaging. It's been at least 6 years since the last time I used my ttd! Send me an email and we can talk more.
Happy Day! If I scrounge up $13 can I come along with you next time??
Wow! First off-what a great hubby! I love that quilt top and the tablecloth! I want to shop at your thrift stores!!
I love that bow-tie quilt pattern. You got great stuff. That note was pretty great, too (even without the $$$)

What a lovely $13 note to find! You sure stretched that $13 and found some awesome stuff. Your hubby is awesome.
I'm jealous...I've never found a vintage quilt and you find them all the time!
