Gutted

As many of you know, my grandparents raised me. They bought my first car, they taught me to roller skate, they took me for ice cream cones, and they loved me they best they could. They did what my parents were unable to do.

My grandfather was found dead in his bedroom this morning.

And I am totally gutted. Absolutely beside myself.

David and I had been the only ones caring for him for several long, hard years. And we are left with sorting out what remains of his life here.

It's going to be a long hard haul for me. I will be back here when my heart isn't in my throat anymore.
