Jonesing

I am seriously experiencing junking withdrawal.
It's summertime and I am usually out there pounding the pavement while the cicada's sing their love song.
Instead, I am living vicariously through the rest of you.
But I am going to have request that you all stop posting fabulous junk! LOL
Can't you post pictures of your dust bunnies instead? :-)

Three weeks of house arrest down, up to 30 weeks to go. Oy.

P.S. I miss the swimming pool too.

P.P.S. I think I should hang those lanterns from the living room ceiling. Just for fun.

  1. I think that would be cute! And if you are feeling up to it your Wal-Mart may have Martha crafts on sale. You know I love it (I've already been to three!)

  2. If it makes you feel any better - I went to two sales today. JUNK at one, high priced cool stuff at the other. I got so hot that my mascara ran down my face and I looked like Tammy Faye Baker. THEN the lady with the cool junk turned out to be someone I know (and do NOT like) so she was rude to me on top of it all. I asked how much some unframed rolled up yard long prints were and she said, "More than you'll want to pay, I'm sure". In the end she only wanted $6.00 each for them, but I told her NO and walked away. Biotch. Had I known it was her sale, I would have toodle-oo'ed right on by.

So, see, how it is? Being house bound is an olday thing! I am home in the cold A/C and feeling FINE. It is just too stinking hot to junk. (But, that bowl of ornaments up there has me wanting to go out and hit the junking trail!!!!!)

  3. It's hard to be house bound. I feel for you. I could have used a swimming pool today - I think I nearly melted when we went to the park!

  4. Maybe you could lay on the sofa and make some of those martha Stewart PomPoms to hang from the ceiling. Here is the link http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/article/pom-poms-and-luminarias

  5. Would you like to stitch up a baby quilt? I could make up a kit for you for hand piecing and/or hand embroidery and vintage fabric.

Just let me know if you're interested and we can work something out, but also please do not worry about offending me if you don't feel like it -- I totally understand.

  6. Hi Sarah! Just catching up with you today, and I wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. I'm so glad to hear that you changed doctors though, and are back with the one that helped bring you Jack. I'm still praying for you guys.
It's too bad you can't go junkin', but even though you're on a break, you're still the Quilt Queen!

  7. Oh boy do I have dust bunnies for you. I will try to get to an estate sale or 2 this week "for you". Have people send you ALL of their old magazines. It's amazing what you'll read when you're stuck on the sofa...Popular Mechanics anyone?
