Kitsch
When I donated all that Christmas stuff last week I got rid of most of my Christmas kitsch. Anything plastic, anything felt, anything 1960's/1970's - out it went. It was fun stuff, but it was never seeing the light of day because my glittery, glass, sparkly vintage stuff is much more my speed.
The problem is despite making great progress with the Christmas decorating this week, they are still sitting on the counter. They are kind of large (10 inches or so tall) and heavy and I have NO clue what to do with them.
I better sort it out soon or back into a donate box they go.
And just because it makes me laugh, a pilgrim Jack brought home from kindergarten yesterday.
Now back to hanging ornaments with me. As soon as I get those Christmas boxes out of the baby's room I can actually start to do something with her room. :-)

I saw your felt trees & my 1st thought was what a great garland they'd make. Either pinned or tacked onto a string to be hung across a mantle or pinned vertically to a ribbon and hung down the front of an interior door. Dee in BC
OMG, I have an ornament I made in grade school that almost matches your trees. The only difference is there are two trees sewed together and stuffed!
I was just going to suggest what I see Dee has already with the trees!
Are they too big to applique on a tree skirt? I've had tree skirts on the brain lately.
Love jack's prilgrim, cute smiling face. Love the idea of the christmas trees being a garland

Jack's little pilgrim is so cute -- don't you have memories of all those little Thanksgiving crafts when you were little at school -- I used to LOVE that! And whew! I'm relieved that you didn't donate your good vintage stuff!
I was thinking a tree skirt, too.
I should have looked at your Craigslist ads, because I'm all kitsch, all the time.
