  1. Tell him that if he keeps cutting his own hair, the girls won't be able to keep their hands off of him!
(I think the cut is hilarious!! Good on ya mate!)

  2. Shave his head. That will learn him.
(It could look alot worse. My youngest sister butchered her hair one time, leaving actual bald spots onn the side. It took years for it to grow back. And old ladies would walk up to my mother in the grocery store crying because they thought she was undergoing chemo, thanks to the bald spots.) See? It could be so much worse.

  3. Buzz it. By the time the hair grows out, the urge to cut it himself will likely grow out also! (Bonus: cooler for the summer - buy some clippers and get after it!)

  4. My husband says to ignore it... it too shall pass. BTW it could look a whole lot worse!!

  5. I agree - a buzz cut for the summer might do the trick! My daughter when she was younger - (3 I think) tried to cut out the elastics for her braids one night in bed because I forgot to take them out! She missed the elastic and got the WHOLE braid instead!!! Now picture this - she has a head full of soft beautiful CURLY hair!!! how do you cover THAT up??!!! The hair salon had a heck of a time fixing that one!

Good luck with your lil' criminal!! I think maybe a day in the hole might do the trick!! heehee!

  6. I like the idea of buzzing it. But I need tips for getting Layla to stop! She's 7 years old and STILL CUTS HER HAIR. So frustrating!

  7. I don't like the look of buzzed heads - makes me think they had lice. Ick. I actually think Jack did a fairly good job, but he really shouldn't do it again!

I blew a bubble once when I was five and it popped in my bangs. My ever helpful four year old cousin held my bangs up and cut them off at the scalp. I had hair to my waist in the back and nothing in the front. I was quite a sight to behold!

  11. There was a little girl in our family (who is now a college student)who gave herself this exact same haircut the day before she was scheduled to be a flower girl in her aunt's wedding. Fortunately for her (and for Jack) she was so cute she could pull it off. The only guest who thought it was less than darling was her mother.

See,someday it will be a precious memory!

My son had a head full of loose curls. At age 4 while at pre-school, he cut the hair of a little girl. The kids were all cutting their OWN hair that day (WHERE was the teacher?). When the teacher asked him why he cut Chelsea's hair, he replied, "My mom would be mad if I cut my hair."

This happened the day before the grandmother had scheduled a photo shoot of the little girl. I felt so bad--we bought Chelsea a cute white and pink hat adorned with ribbon roses and her name.
