Classmates.com
Should anyone from classmates.com come here from that announcement, please leave your email address here in a comment so that I can find you again. Yes! I am talking to you Paco. I am way too cheap to give them 4o bucks, and it took me forever to figure out how to put a web address on there somewhere.

This is my really beautiful kid, and his naughty grin. Just before this photo was taken, I fished a piece of tape out of his mouth. Yes, somehow he managed to eat tape that he picked off the highchair from somewhere while I was sitting right there, adding his new tooth to his baby book. 3 days ago he ate a wad of cat hair, a month ago he ate a magazine subscription card. LOL. How did kids and parents ever survive this?

Mom's craft for the day. 2 new changing pad covers. Too bad I was too sick when I was pregnant to sew. It only cost me 3 dollars and 20 minutes to sew two of them. It cost me $25 to buy two of them at the BRU. Ah well, such is life.

The cat, on the other hand, would love to know just why in the hell I have caged the baby. In any case, he wants to get it on the action.

Since Jack is finally REALLY getting mobile, mom decided to break out the pack and play for the first time since he was a teeny, tiny babe. He seems to *love* rolling around in there, feeling the mesh and playing with the new crinkly toys...

Welp, there it is. That teeny, tiny white spot is Jack's first tooth. Taking this photo required much wrestling, hair pulling, and camera grabbing, but, somehow, I managed it. I am still undecided about whether this tooth and it's appearance make me insanely happy (wooohooo, my baby is getting to be a big boy!) or insanely sad (oh no!, my baby is getting to be a big boy!).

We have tried about 10 times to make Jack's handprint/footprint in one of those print in a can kits. As you can see, we are not successful. Unless, of course, we are raising Bigfoot or a bizarre sea creature.

Jack and Dad enjoy some airplane time. It was a failed attempt to diffuse the "Oh my god it is so hot out here, mom!" crying.

Jack plays a very serious game of "Who IS that boy in the mirror?" Mom LOVES the new monkey boy suit, thank you Gymboree for having something left on the 70% off rack.

Jack has finally mastered the fine art of finger foods. I am quite surprised that his hand to mouth success rate is above 50%. This seemed to happen overnight. Although, I am in general feeling a bit nostalgic, as he doesn't seem to be my little baby anymore!

Jack highly recommends this Little Tikes 3-in-1 play center, which serves as a swimming pool, ball pit and sand box. Today's fun, ball pit! Mom highly recommends the 6 dollar price tag at Aldi.

Jack, the baby who eats EVERYTHING, hiding under the china cabinet while eating his new frog. No matter where I put him these days, he always ends up under the china cabinet. He is really making distance these days. The frog, well, he was a freebie from a car seat check we stopped at near Chicago. Dave said I was a freak for stopping at a car seat check in a town we don't live in, in a state we don't live in, but, hey, what are you gonna do?

Jack enjoys some time in the grass in some random place outside Chicago on Saturday. He is really into textures, and grass rates pretty high.

Jack after eating his first "jarred" baby on his first big trip to IKEA in Chicago. Is that a "I LOVE this stuff mom" face or a "What have you done now mom" face? Either way, IKEA is brilliant and we had an awesome time.

Ah, there is no joy in life like pulling on the tail of the cat. Until the cat bites him on the head, which he did, even though I was practically sitting on top of them.

Jack had his first swimming class today. He is the only boy, there are like 5 little girls! He seemed to enjoy it, even if he did try and swallow half the pool.

Jack is endlessly fascinated by phones right now. To keep him busy chattering away on his own phone, I bought him this one at the flea market. It's clearly a big hit. Do you think he has figured out how to call Europe yet?

Jack after an "emergency" bath. Within the space of two hours, he managed to get his fingers into poop, pee all over himself AND spit up on himself at least 10 times. I feel like the bodily function patrol. :-) Like the new 'do? It's so, Flock of Seagulls, or something.

"Can't you see I am trying to cry here, and I simply cannot do it when you have that bloody camera in my face!"

This is a really awesome toy! Thanks to Tina and her yard saling savvy, it was dirt cheap too! We didn't think he would be big enough to enjoy it yet, but, as usual, Jack continues to be his own man.

More sewing fun! This time a SO cute shopping cart cover. (Why yes, my kid does like to chew on the cart at the nasty old wal-mart, why do you ask???)

Jack wears his new gymboree/sunvisor combo. For some reason, I LOVE this hat on him. He doesn't seem to mind it too much either...
