Halloween: The Epilogue

Taking pictures of Jack right now is a bit like trying to photograph a hummingbird with a pin hole camera, he never stops moving, and the digital delay on my now ancient digital camera is really getting the better of me!

My concerns about him not wanting to wear the costume were completely unfounded. He thought the whole thing was great fun! It took us almost 90 minutes to go around the block once, but, he did a great job of "visiting" with all the neighbors, even enchanting them with his newest word "frankenstein!" Which he said instead of Trick or Treat.

I gave him a piece of candy when we got home, and he is already asking me for more! He knows the real deal on Halloween already, eh? It was cold, cold, and he went right to sleep about 20 minutes after we got home.

We handed out play-doh containers this year, and the kids LOVED them! My favorites were a little girl who wanted to pick out a color, and the ones who went running down the driveway shouting "mom! They gave me play-doh!"

I am going to try and do this during November, if Blogger will cooperate. I have already tried to up load the Halloween photos three times.

  1. What a cutie pie! Did you make his costume? And how adorable that he said "frankenstein" instead of Trick or treat! :)

Cool idea on the every day blogging thing. I might have to try that, but I will have to take a few days off when I am on vacation next week. Good motivation, though!

  2. How cute is Jack?? Love that costume! He's such a darling!

I didn't get any trick or treaters (New York City, what can you do?) but my Mom called and told me a little boy in a duck suit came to her door and when she told him he looked cute he said "Well I think you're cute, too!" Almost as funny as FRANKENSTEIN instead of trick or treat LOL

  3. Jack looks adorable! Have you considered putting your pics on flickr and then adding them to your blog that way? We recently started doing that because blogger was being impossible. It works so much better!

  4. What a cute monkeyboy! adorable costume. Glad he enjoyed it, too-- the kids in Sam's class at daycare seem evenly split between liking (or at least tolerating) their costumes and being freaked out by the idea of a costume. Lucky for us Sam was in the first category, though we didn't try to actually trick-or-treat.
Frankenstein! adorable (and I love the playdoh idea-- do they make little containers, or did you hand out big ones?)

Playdough! Wish I'd thought of that!

I'm glad that you got that photo of your little monkey to cooperate with Blogger! So cute! Madeline saw Jack and immediately said "George!" though - all monkeys are named George in her world :)

I can't remember if I read elsewhere about you being Flickr averse, but I second Ann's recommendation. I use it about half the time, and even write most of my post in Flickr, too.

  6. I bought one of those bags of mini playdoh tubs, but we didn't give them out...I am saving them for party favors for Sadie's birthday!
