And since last year we had fun doing a few days of giveaways leading up to my birthday, I thought this year I would give away a few tablecloths.

I will give away a tablecloth a day until my birthday, which is Wednesday (and also your apron swap mailing deadline!).
All you need to do is leave a comment on the post saying you want in, with a way to contact you.
You are more than welcome to leave a comment each day if you want.
Mention the contest on your own blog and I will enter your name twice. (And let me know you have done that.)
I will have Jack draw names on Thursday.
My only request (and it might be a big one for some of you!) is that if you are the winner, please don't cut it up. There are plenty of cloths that are suitable for cutting, but I have specifically chosen ones that are fine for use on your tables. Besides, I have invested time in getting them clean! (But they are not perfect. I am not sure there is a single one in my huge collection that is perfect.)
Today's beauty is in lovely condition and who doesn't love a daisy?
And with that, I had better hit post before I lose my nerve. I have so many, but I want them all, all, all! :-)
Good luck everyone!

ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty! I can see why it would be hard to give any of them away!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! Your birthday is coming up! I want in and you know how to reach me. Hugs and happy belated Mother's Day to you!
ReplyDeleteOH sign me up please (Happy early bday by the way) Also, I love your request of not cutting up the tablecloth!
ReplyDeleteWould love one of your tableclothes. I promise not to cut it up.
ReplyDeleteVintage tablecloths are divine! Can I be in too? I never have the nerve to cut them up, so no worries about that! I use them on my kitchen table regularly.
ReplyDeletePlease count me in - and I promise not to cut!
ReplyDeleteThis one is VERY pretty. I've been all about springy greens lately and this would look so perfect on my retro table.
ReplyDeleteCount me in! I can't believe you are giving them up!!! I promise that if I win, I will use the tablecloth in its original state! Vicki at hollyhocks.typepad.com
ReplyDeleteCount me in! I have a 50's kitchen that I am collecting them for. I use them almost daily.
ReplyDeletemadeofbliss@yahoo.ca
what is this talk of cutting them up? i only have vintage tableclothes and i baby them until they are in shreds. they go with my vintage napkins and placemats!
ReplyDeleteHow generous of you! I'd love to be included in your draw, and I pinky swear not to cut it up. As if I ever could! :0) This would go a long way towards my goal of setting the table nicely all the time.
ReplyDeleteYou are so generous! Yes, put my name in, too. Don't worry, I collect vintage tablecloths & linens and I still put the ones with stains & holes on the table...plates, vases can cover them. lol. Yesterday, I went to the flea market (haven't been in years - but I said this is what I want for mother's day - to be kid free and shop). I was rummaging in a box that said 50cents per leftover and pulled out a very rumpled, tea stained tablecloth -like it was just spilled on all over...I hoped there would be some usable part for crafting, but for that price, what the heck. When I got home I sprayed some 'shout it out', (didn't have any oxyclean), on it and threw it in the washer. I was surprised that the stains really washed out! I'll try to clean it up some more when the sun comes back out. So, it isn't a cutter after all. :)
ReplyDeleteI also bought 3 other tablecloths elsewhere for really decent prices (just a few spots/holes), which made me so happy. The prices out here are outrageous so I finally lucked out.
Of COURSE I wouldn't cut it up - I can't even cut the ones I bought as "cutters"! And Happy (early) birthday!!

ReplyDeletei love vintage tablecloths and wouldn't dare cut one up. The one i have now i use for art projects with my son because it was really stained and had holes but so pretty. It's given way to age though and ripped from the holes. And still i sew it up so we can continue to use it!
