Giveaway and other business

I was fiddling in the sewing room and decided to give away some of the pink tickets. I counted off 200 of them, which I think is enough for a 12 inch tree.

Want to get in on the action? Leave a comment.

Want to be entered twice? Link to the ticket tree blog entry on your blog. (NOT this entry!)

Entries closed by Saturday morning so I can actually mail them to you quickly.

Other business:It seems a bit too early to start sign ups, but I have seen other Valentine sign ups already and I DEFINITELY want to host the heart to heart swap again this year for Valentine's day.

I know, I know, it's crazy to mention this right now, but the time to sign up and get everyone organized is pretty short after the holidays.

We had so many really awesome Valentines last year!

If you know already you want to get in on the action, please email me at with HEART TO HEART as the subject. There are no worries about creating anything until after Christmas, the mailing deadline is usually the end of January.

You will create 14 Valentines, mail them to me, and receive 14 different Valentines in return. There are no restrictions on the type of Valentine you create: you can use paper, fabric, whatever suits your fancy really. You can see all of last year's entries by clicking on the Feb 2008 archive.

Swap is limited to 14! (If it doesn't fill up right now, I will repost again after the New Year.)

And how about a few new blogs to browse?
One pretty thing is full of daily handmade inspiration.
Such Pretty Things , well the title says it all there.
Button Floozies , love buttons? You are going to love that blog.

  1. Oh, I'm sssooo tempted to join in the swap, but I can't. I have a very very full January and I know myself well enough that if I just keep piling things on I'll just go off the deep end! :) But I'm looking forward to seeing all of the fantastic valentines that you get!

  2. K- FIRST OFF, the ticket tree is just the cutest thing, so yes, I want to be entered in for the tickets.
Of course I am going to link it right after I make this comment.
And right after that I'm emailing you to be entered in the swap.
    You're too much fun Sarah!

  3. ohhhhhhhh! please enter me in the giveaway. i had the best time researching blow molds after catching up on your posts yesterday ( i had been gone a week or two). i had no idea that's what they were called or that there were such cute vintage ones.

    from a short-time reader and lurker :)

  4. Oh boy! That ticket tree is DIVINE! You are so creative. And happy belated anniversary!

  5. I'd love to have some of the tickets.

At this rate I'll have enough different trees to fill my mantle by next Christmas. Drat all you creative people, I already have enough crafts on my plate.

i'd love to throw my hat in the ring for the tickets - because somehow, when i saw your tree, i thought that curvy tickets would actually make a great brooch for my daughter's dance teacher (the spring recital theme is carnival/circus). call me crazy.

(and i'm SO sorry about your ornaments!)

Since my e-mail is driving me nuts, here's my answer: Sure, what the heck, how hard can 14 (gulp) Valentines be? I would love to do it. Hope you're surviving the ice storm, if it came. (If it did, you might not be reading this for days.)

Hi there. What say you?
