On Halloween, the Great Pumpkin gave to me:
Our first family themed costumes!
One chocolate chip cookie.
Grant LOVED this, as soon as he saw it he said "Oh, chockit! I love chockit!" and he put it right on. Now, will he do the same tonight or will he INSIST on being a cookie monster? We shall see...
One "cookie monster ballerina".
It's cold and Sammi HATES being cold, so she was not anxious to take these photos.
And one milk carton.
I made this with felt and spray adhesive. It was a sticky job, but I am super pleased with the result.
I got smart and took all these photos well before trick or treat time. It's always just a big frustration to do it then!
Tonight it is supposed to be in the 20s(!!!) so we will be wearing winter coats to trick or treat anyway. LOL

On the second day of Halloween
On the second day of Halloween, the Great Pumpkin gave to me:
Four pumpkins gutted with two little kids who were not the least bit sure what to make of the smelly, messy things!
And part of the last Halloween collection, the die cuts (in poor light - it's raining here today):
Tomorrow night it is supposed to be in the 20s! Brrrrrrrrrrrr. I took photos of the kids in their costumes today because tomorrow we will be wearing winter coats! LOL

On the third day of Halloween
Skipping myself ahead a few days since obviously I am never going to catch up!
On the third day of Halloween, the Great Pumpkin gave to me:
My Halloween costume collection-
(This one is messy this year, little fingers!)
And my Halloween blow mold collection (well, part of it, I did not want to get it all out. )
Tonight it's pumpkin carving time!
(I am just going to admit right now that yesterday I was ready to be done with Halloween. I do not have my Halloween spirit this year.)

On the sixth day of Halloween
On the sixth day of Halloween, the Great Pumpkin gave to me:
Nothing Halloween related! We are having some minor issues here today which have delayed anything Halloween.
We did have:
One unusually warm (80+ degree) late October day. So we had a picnic outside;
One rainbow, drawn by Sam;
One conference about said rainbow;
And one excessively problematic attempt at starting a new quilt. There are just WAY too many ways for this pattern to go wrong. So while I like it, and it suits the book pages, I think it will scrapped in favor of something less complicated. (I have so little time to sew I just do not have the patience for this kind of pattern I think. It felt stressful and not joyful and that is NOT a win!)
4 more days? Really???

On the seventh day of Halloween
First, I need to answer some questions I cannot seem to get around to!
*Yes, Sammi is quite blonde now. Weird since she was born with BLACK, BLACK hair.
*505 is a quilt basting spray, and yes the pencil quilt is the same on both sides. I plan to show you that as soon as Halloween is over. It's awesome! (And done.)
*I am thinking of having a "giving November" here on the blog but I haven't quite fleshed out the idea yet.
*The kids don't really get into the Halloween tree. Actually, they are doing pretty good staying out of stuff right now. It's pretty high up though - on top of a table and then that old bucket made it another foot or so higher.
*I want to run an Etsy coupon this week. Use the code BOO14 to get 10% orders of $5 or more through Nov 1. I have FINALLY gotten around to listing a huge lot of table linens I bought this summer.
On the seventh day of Halloween, the Great Pumpkin gave to me:
Exceptionally warm weather. Hot even.
Flea Market Sunday!
A small glittery bat bucket. I think these are Bethany Lowe? I have other bigger ones in other styles.
A very sweet vintage necklace for Sam.
A not so old (1983) can. Useful things.
A vintage purple quilt for my purple loving girl.
Very sweet! And I think I used that purple floral in my own purple quilt. :-)
Finally some color in our trees!
I am off to deal with Grant, who is having a SERIOUS SERIOUS case of the terrible twos this week. Happy Sunday to you!

On the eighth day of Halloween
On the eighth day of Halloween, the Great Pumpkin gave to me:
The awesome 2014 Halloween tree!
It's starting to get so full and so much more interesting.
I LOVE all of my swap ornaments!
In fact, I might love them more than the Valentine ones. Gasp!
P.S. Here is what the tree looked like before I got the Halloween swap idea:
I have two costumes finished. Wooohooo!

On the ninth day of Halloween
On the ninth day of Halloween, the Great Pumpkin gave to me:
Along with some of the labware (plus food coloring).
This one feels just marginal to me and probably won't be repeated next year.
Oh well, win some, lose some!
One week to go and I still only have one costume for the children. Time to really get crackin'!
