On the second day of Halloween

On the second day of Halloween, the great pumpkin gave to me:

One autumn leaf quilt ready for binding;

One round of pin and pound pumpkins to stop the bickering;

One return of the costume mask clothes line (I was sure I would thrift something for that wall, but nothing turned up this year.);

One ladder of plastic costumes;

More die cuts but in an impossible to photograph place;
A one armed pumpkin man;

The last of the die cuts;

And pumpkin products.

I think it's going to rain on Halloween. Serious bummer.

On the third day of Halloween

On the third day if Halloween, the great pumpkin gave to me:

 Part of the Halloween blowmolds;

And some more (I didn't get them all out because we were still building this furniture. I think they will all fit next year though);

One Halloween village that will never be completed. Maybe if I do it in July? I have grand plans and a stash of stuff;

One cloth costume collection;

And one witch piƱata.

And no pants! Apparently I forgot when it got warm that my ten year old jeans all bit the dust last winter. It's almost November, might want to solve that problem eh?

On the fourth day of Halloween

They are still working on our hvac. It's totally thrown me off my game to have had people in and out all day for nine days and counting.

Plus, it feels like I am blogging into the abyss, so, yea.

On the fourth day of Halloween, the great pumpkin gave to me:

One Halloween door with thrown together wreath from stuff in the bin I was cleaning out for goodwill;
One old pumpkin hanging out with the antlers;

One failed mobile attempt with old teacher cut outs. I like this idea but my execution was bad, will try again next year as its a good way to display this collection;
One wire tree that I never finished decorating. Still eyeing that big orange tree. Ahem. Dave.
One Skeleton collection;
One honeycomb dancer collection;

And one cabinet of curiosities, aka the collectibles.

The hvac guys want to know if we like Halloween?

On the sixth day of Halloween

On the sixth day of Halloween, the great pumpkin gave to me:

One wall of die cuts;
One kitty cat, meow;
A few Christmas flea market finds;
A destined for thanksgiving flea market find;
And one completed "queen bee" costume.

Happy Sunday to you!

On the seventh day of Halloween

On the seventh day of Halloween, the Great Pumpkin gave to me:

One trip to the pumpkin patch!

Only a week to go! I have almost all the costumes done, I need to find wings for Sammi.

And!  We have heat and AC again. Yahooo!~

On the eighth day of Halloween

I am mess right now. No sleep for seven days, allergies, RA freaking killing me, forced to eat out every day because it's hot so my stomach is awful. I mean the last seven days is just. Ugh.

P
So. Glass Halloween tree.

Tree finally starting to change.

And angels in work boots.

Here's hoping we have hvac at the end of the day? Ugh.

On the tenth day of Halloween

On the tenth day of Halloween, the Great a Pumpkin gave to me:

Another day of waiting on hvac people. With NO FUNCTIONING HVAC. As it turns out not only did our heater die on the weekend, our AC died Monday night. After five days with no climate control at all I am getting seriousLy cranky. I cannot sleep with the windows open! I am itchy, snarfly and last night we had crazy thunder that scared the crap out of me.

Not the kind of Halloween shock I had in mind.

Anyway.
One vintage horror story. I am on a vintage horror binge right now. Having read so much Stephen King it's kind of fun to read older things and let my mind compare.
One pretty bowl of gourds and pumpkins. The white gourds were volunteers that popped up in our own yard this year. Only one really made it to maturity (kids, squirrels and drought), but super fun! I hope to turn our neglected garden into a pumpkin patch next year.
And one Halloween mantel. This year I wanted to put a party hat on ALL THE THINGS.

Back tomorrow. Cross fingers that soon an hvac company will start fixing my house? Oy.
