Flea market Sunday

Slow week this week at the flea as the crime was huge, but vendor numbers are wintertime small. It's been 70 degrees again this weekend, which is glorious!

I bought this rather small etched bottle. It's only about four inches tall.

A pile of ornaments.

A pair of pink milk glass urns. I wish I'd had these when I did the Easter mantle this week to hold big eggs!

I really need to get some sewing done, but who wants to be inside in this weather? Happy Sunday to you!

Fancy fox quilt for a very special baby

Making baby quilts is just the best really. Especially when it's for a miracle baby! Somehow those years of infertility have just never left my heart and I have a little party when folks struggling with infertility have a new baby.

These foxes have been gifted to a miracle boy.

I had to sew it on three different machines due to a bernina failure, which left me with wildly inconsistent seam allowances. To compensate I offset the rows. I also has to quilt it on my new juki, which was not my favorite without a walking foot.

I'm  mostly happy with it though. It's a bit fiddly making so many blocks for a baby quilt though!

Fabrics from stash and Joann
Cotton couture for this navy
Bamboo batting

Made with love for baby Morgan!

(I've actually had some machine drama over here which resulted in my buying a juki tl98q as a backup to the bernina. I love how it sews and think it might be my piecing machine while the bernina remains my quilting machine. We shall see though. I actually am off to pick up the bernina and I'm like a kid at Christmas! Lol)

"I wish my tail was longer. Then it could help me balance like a real cat."

(She's been wearing this costume since she was like 18 months old!)

Flea market Sunday

We've had quite a stretch of warm weather for a few days, so the flea market is hopping again.  I bought all the things. Lol

Another German egg, complete with gnome.

The sweetest signature quilt ever,

Santa Claus!

I'm still dying over it's sweetness.

How cute is she?
Gorgeous vintage ribbons. (More pink, must be a pink week.)
This nesting hen is so.tiny. Like silver dollar sized?

And these garden lights are HUGE! Regular light bulb sized.

$1 for a mirror? Umm, yes please!
More quilts? Oh my. This is a Missouri Daisy.

Pity about the middle here, this is actually a beautiful cantaloupe color.

I've been collecting quilts for another Instagram quilt soon.

And a Dozen of these painted eggs.

More toadstools.

Painted eggs hold a particularLy soft spot in my heart thanks to a long ago love.

Happy Sunday to you! Hope you are enjoying some sun where you are too.

My valentine contribution and grants turn to break something

Ugh, there is so much going on over here every single day. On Monday night grant broke his toe, so he's in a boot for three weeks. I've spent at least ten hours in doctors offices and it's only Thursday.

My valentines this year were pretty simple.

And some pretty flowers I picked up at aldi.

Flea market finds

Over the weekend we went to an indoor garage sale. It's not huge, but I always buy something. A lot of somethings this year.

A child sized musical tin cake plate.
Tin tea set. Getting closer to enough cups for that tea cup tree!
 Small jadeite planter.
A very small german egg. Toadstools!
 A vintage doll quilt.
Plastic egg garland. I have some of this already and I waffled a bit, but I think I do use it every year. I left more of it there, hope I don't regret that.
 A long minty crochet runner.
Valentine knee hugger. Score! I found this wandering aimlessly through a second time. I have had just one of these for years and years.
Vintage kid's clothes. Why cannot I resist these?
Plus a cutter quilt. I've been stashing quilts for another instagram sale soon.

Not a bad few hours!

Valentine Decor

By the time I manage to get this post up this will all be packed away, but I like to look back at the mantle from year to year when I wonder how I made it work the next year.

 The candy boxes.
The foyer tree is now full to bursting with swap goodness.

Time to add a second tree next year!

Happy Valentine's Day

Oh my, the children were NOT cooperative for the valentine photo this morning. Eeek.

It's snowing like crazy today, but supposed to be 70 by Friday. I need 70. Yesterday I went to Home Goods and played "buy all the colorful things."  Must.have.warm.sun soon!

Aren't they precious? LOLOL

Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours!
